Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Driver Trainee who will be trained to obtain a CDL and progress to a Driver in one of the companys lines of business. The program includes classroom study, on-route training, driving experience, and resources necessary to pass the CDL examination.

After CDL, the incumbent will move into a Driver position, with opportunities in Residential, Commercial, Industrial or Roll-Off, followed by a range of comprehensive benefits and career development opportunities.

Qualifications

• No prohibitions to acquiring a commercial drivers' license.
• Willing to complete CDL training and licensing.

Responsibilities

• Complete CDL training program as described by Republic Services.
• Complete twelve months of employment after obtaining a CDL.
• Learn to perform pre- and post-operation inspections.
• Learn to operate a heavy or commercial truck along a designated route and service each customer.
