Job summary

Scotch is building a next-generation operating system for beverage alcohol retailers, combining POS, payments, back office, and e-commerce into a unified platform.

We are seeking a hands-on POS Installation Technician to deploy and configure POS environments across the continental United States. You will install hardware and software, test end-to-end readiness, and train store staff as needed.

Qualifications

• 1+ years installing, deploying, or supporting POS systems or similar field-based tech.
• Experience with onsite hardware installations, device configuration, cabling, testing, and go-live support.
• Willingness to travel up to 100% of the time across the continental US, including overnight stays.

Responsibilities

• Travel to retail locations to install, configure, and commission POS hardware and software.
• Perform installations during pre-opening windows with minimal business disruption.
• Disassemble old POS systems and package components for disposal.
• Set up Scotch POS terminals, cash drawers, printers, barcode scanners, readers, displays, and peripherals.
• Run cabling and coordinate with on-site networking/electrical teams for connectivity.
• Install and update POS software, configure systems, and verify integration with back-office, payments, and inventory.
• Test hardware/software end-to-end, troubleshoot on-site, and obtain sign-off.
• Provide basic training to store staff when required.
• Complete installation checklists, documentation, and reporting.
• Communicate status and blockers to project managers and deployment team.
• Transport and manage tools, equipment, and inventory while traveling.
• Adhere to safety, security, and brand standards on-site.
• Arrange travel (hotels, flights, rental cars) for installations.
