Job summary

Keolis America, Inc. is seeking a customer-focused transporter/operator to support 24/7 bus service in California. This role requires a valid CDL B with passenger and airbrakes endorsements and the ability to pass a DOT medical exam and background checks.

You will liaise with dispatch, maintenance, and safety teams to ensure safe, on-time operations. Responsibilities include assisting drivers, performing pre-trip inspections, monitoring service adherence, and responding to passenger concerns

Qualifications

• Must have Commercial License (CDL) class B with passenger and airbrakes endorsement.
• Must pass a DMV driving record check and maintain clean driving record throughout employment.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work with all departments.
• Ability to work independently and objectively.
• Must be willing to have flexibility with schedule and work in a 24/7 environment, to include weekends and holidays.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test, background check, federal finger printing and a DOT physical examination.

Responsibilities

• First line of response in service delivery for incidents and accidents.
• Assist operators with on-time pullouts.
• Ensure pre-trip inspections comply with performance expectations and vehicles meet appearance standards.
• Help achieve maximized on-time performance and productivity through service adjustments.
• Make regular observations of operators to ensure high quality service provision.
• Support in investigation of passenger concerns.
• Respectfully enforce VVTA’s policies and procedures.
• Observes driving skills and work habits of drivers in the field.
• Ensure that all operators are fit for duty, meet uniform and equipment standards and are in possession of proper licensing and certifications.
• Assist dispatch and maintenance staff with vehicle change outs that occur in the field.
• Assist operators with service or passenger problems.
• Conduct road observations according to client and local policy.
• Monitor street operations for on-time performance and schedule adherence.
• Provide feedback to safety and operations departments on service items that affect safety and performance, identify potential safety hazards and provide feedback to be incorporated into daily operations procedures.
• Follow company safety and operational rules and procedures.
• Ability to work under stress and meet strict timelines.
• Responsible for onboard evaluations, trail checks, drive cam and mentoring/coaching drivers.
• Monitor pull-outs and service areas.
