First Student, Inc. is hiring a Field Supervisor to oversee driver performance, safety compliance, and incident reporting for a large bus fleet. The role emphasizes safety-first operations, accurate inspections, and timely route management in a fast-paced environment.

The Field Supervisor will lead driver interviews, monitor on-time performance, and ensure adherence to DOT rules while maintaining clear, English-language communications with team members and management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years supervisory experience preferred.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Computer literacy with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Experience dealing with collision and injury claims a plus.
• Prior School Bus Driver experience preferred.
• Subject to DOT drug testing and physical. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including marijuana, for any reason.

Responsibilities

• Monitors driver pre and post trip inspections and equipment issues and takes corrective action.
• Performs driver road checks and observes drivers for work readiness.
• Performs IPP Safety contacts with drivers; corrects safety violations on the scene.
• Dispatches and drives routes as needed.
• Assists management with driver interviews.
• Monitors on time performance.
