First Student in New Jersey is hiring a Field Safety Supervisor. You will monitor driver performance, investigate accidents, administer compliance forms, and report on safety metrics while dispatching routes as needed.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 1–2 years of supervisory experience, and strong verbal and written communication. Proficiency with Word, Excel and Outlook is expected; prior school bus driver experience is a plus, and DOT drug testing compliance applies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years supervisory experience preferred.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Computer literacy with Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Experience with collision and injury claims is a plus.
• Prior School Bus Driver experience preferred.
• DOT drug testing compliance applies.

Responsibilities

• Monitors driver pre and post trip inspections and equipment issues; takes corrective action.
• Performs driver road checks and observes work readiness of drivers.
• Performs IPP Safety contacts; corrects safety violations on scene.
• Dispatches and drives routes as needed.
• Assists management with driver interviews.
• Monitors on time performance.
