Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Road Mechanic to service a diverse fleet at customer locations, performing preventive maintenance and advanced repairs. You will work on Aerial Work Platforms and other construction tools, with potential specialty gear at certain sites.

Qualified candidates typically have 1–2 years’ diesel/heavy equipment experience, a high school diploma or GED, and a valid license. CDL may be required depending on the location, and safety is a core focus of daily operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; trade school or equivalent training desired.
• 1–2 years of mechanic experience with diesel equipment or heavy construction equipment preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record; CDL may be required in some locations.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and diagnose/repair equipment at customer locations to minimize downtime.
• Work on a fleet that includes Aerial Work Platforms, general construction tools, and equipment (with larger generators, pumps, HVAC, or oil/gas gear at specialty sites).
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, professional work environment while on site.
