Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals, Inc. is seeking a Road Mechanic to maintain a diverse fleet ranging from aerial work platforms to generators, often in remote locations. This role performs preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs to minimize downtime while working with a safety-focused team.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 3–5 years of diesel/heavy equipment experience (generators, pumps, HVAC, or Oil & Gas), and a valid driver's license. CDL may be required in some locations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; some trade school or equivalent training desired.
• 3–5 years of mechanic experience with diesel equipment, heavy construction equipment or specialty lines equipment (generators, pumps, HVAC or Oil & Gas) strongly preferred.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record; CDL license may be required in some locations.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and diagnostics on a diverse fleet.
• Repair equipment in a safe and efficient manner to minimize downtime.
• Work in various locations and adapt to different equipment types and priorities.
