Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Road Mechanic to service a diverse fleet of equipment, including aerial work platforms and pumps, across remote sites. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose issues, and execute repairs to minimize downtime.

The role requires a High school diploma or GED, 3–5 years of diesel/heavy equipment experience, and a valid driver’s license. CDL may be required in some locations, with a commitment to safety and quality service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, some trade school or equivalent training desired.
• 3–5 years of mechanic experience with diesel equipment, heavy construction equipment or specialty lines equipment (generators, pumps, HVAC, Oil & Gas) strongly preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record; CDL may be required in some locations.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on equipment in the safest, most effective way possible.
• Work on a variety of makes/models and equipment in challenging remote locations.
• Operate in a safety-focused environment to minimize downtime and maximize service quality.
