Job summary

State of Colorado's CDOT seeks a Highway Maintenance Specialist in SW Denver. You’ll operate heavy equipment, plow snow, and repair roadways while working a 4-day summer schedule and overtime during emergencies.

Qualifications

• Two years of physical labor and/or heavy equipment experience.
• Must possess and maintain a valid CDL Class A or B with no air brake restriction.
• Willing to work outdoors in varying weather and elevations.

Responsibilities

• Plowing snow and operating heavy equipment as part of a patrol crew.
• Mowing grass, removing debris, and maintaining roadways and culverts.
• Installing signs, guardrails, pavement markings, and performing minor repairs.
• Responding to emergencies, adhering to safety guidance, and working overtime when needed.
