The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) Odessa District is seeking an Equipment Operator I to join the Stanton County Maintenance Section. You will operate a range of heavy machinery to support road maintenance and construction projects, ensuring safety and quality of the transportation network.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of equipment operation experience, hold a valid Texas CDL for equipment operation, and can work in varied environmental conditions.

Formación

• 1 year experience in maintenance and/or construction equipment operation.
• Must have a valid Texas Commercial Driver's Licenses for equipment operation.
• Pre-employment physical and drug testing may be required.

Responsabilidades

• Assists with traffic control; places and gathers cones, warning signs and barricades; flags traffic.
• Operates light equipment such as a front-end loader and mower.
• Operates complex heavy equipment including tractor-trailer haul trucks, graders, excavators, bulldozers, cranes.
• Performs PMI, routine servicing and minor repairs on equipment.
• Operates heavy equipment to support road maintenance and construction projects.
• May train other employees on equipment operation and safety procedures.
• May serve as work crew project lead to ensure work meets specifications.
