Canadian Pacific Kansas City seeks a Road Foreman to educate, promote, and monitor safe work practices for operating crews within a defined territory. You will ensure adherence to operating rules, safety policies, and procedures to improve safety, prevent accidents, and promote compliance across the network.

This role involves coordinating conductor and locomotive engineer training, delivering on-site coaching, and providing on-call support for 24/7 operations.

Qualifications

• Must have minimum 2+ years as a qualified and practicing railway locomotive engineer.
• Maintained GCOR rules qualification.
• Working knowledge of the relevant collective agreement and its application to locomotive engineers and conductors.
• Effective communication skills to relay instruction on safe train handling and operating rules.
• Ability to coach, train and mentor train crews and trainees.

Responsabilités

• Perform locomotive engineer train crew field evaluations.
• Plan and execute remedial training for deficiencies.
• Coordinate all conductor new hire training and on-the-job training oversight.
• Oversee triennial recertification training for conductors and locomotive engineers.
• Perform field efficiency testing.
• Provide input to training content in observed problem areas.
• Deliver skills training for conductors and locomotive engineers.
• Provide expert analysis of train handling exceptions and derailments, with corrective training.
• Provide on-call support and emergency response for 24/7 operations.
