Job summary

West Virginia is seeking a mechanic to repair trucks, snow plows, and other road equipment at our Fayette County Lookout, WV location. You will inspect engines, brakes, tires, and lights, perform oil changes, and document all work. Training to obtain a CDL will be provided, with a 6-month requirement to obtain Class B CDL.

Valid driver’s license required; some travel may be required. Tier 1 hourly rate is $18.3938 with potential for growth based on experience and certifications.

Qualifications

• Two years of automotive mechanic experience preferred.
• No formal education required.
• Must be able to lift heavy objects and work outside.
• Valid driver's license and ability to obtain CDL within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Fix trucks, snow plows, and other road equipment.
• Check engines, brakes, tires, and lights.
• Change oil, filters, and parts.
• Keep the shop and tools clean and safe.
• Write down the work you do and test repaired equipment.
• Assist higher level mechanics when needed.
