Job summary

Coastal Elite Pro in Grants Pass, Oregon is seeking a skilled CDL-A driver to operate tractor-trailer units, including doubles/triples where applicable, for both long- and short-haul work. You will perform daily pre-trip inspections, hook/unhook trailers, verify documentation, maintain logs, and comply with DOT regulations and hazardous materials rules, delivering safely and efficiently.

• Possess Class A CDL with double/triple, hazmat and tank endorsements.
• Minimum of 1 year recent driving experience or completion of a driver development course.

Job description

Position Overview:

This role involves picking up and delivering trailers between Service Centers and turn-point locations using tractor-trailer combinations.

Responsibilities Include

• Operating tractor-trailer units, including doubles and triples where applicable.
• Performing daily pre-trip safety inspections and hooking/unhooking trailers and dollies.
• Verifying documentation, maintaining accurate logs, and complying with hazardous material regulations.
• Following dispatch instructions, communicating delays or issues, and possibly performing tire chaining or duties of city drivers or dock employees.
• Loading and unloading freight as needed and adhering to all laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Performing additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

Candidates must hold a Class A CDL with double/triple, hazardous materials, and tank endorsements, with at least one year of recent experience or completion of a driver development course.

They should meet DOT regulations, have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record, and be able to handle physical tasks such as hooking trailers and lifting around 100 pounds.
