Job summary

Coastal Elite Pro is seeking a professional CDL A driver for long-distance trailer deliveries between service centers and turn-point locations. The role requires handling tractor-trailer units and performing pre-trip inspections, documentation, and safe operation.

You will maintain logs, comply with DOT regulations, and communicate delays or issues per dispatch. The position may involve night stays, varying hours, and potential dock duties as needed.

Position Overview:

Responsible for picking up and delivering trailers between service centers and turn-point locations using tractor-trailer combinations.

Key Duties

• Operate tractor-trailer units, including doubles and triples where applicable.
• Perform daily pre-trip and safety inspections, hook/unhook trailers, and complete documentation.
• Maintain accurate logs and ensure compliance with hazardous material regulations.
• Follow dispatch instructions and communicate any delays or issues.
• Load and unload freight as needed, perform chaining of tires, and may assume city driver or dock duties.
• Adhere to all laws, regulations, and company policies.

Qualifications & Skills

• Class A CDL with double/triple, hazardous materials, and tank endorsements; automatic transmission restriction allowed.
• At least 1 year of recent driving experience or completion of a driver development course.
• Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and compliance with DOT regulations.
• Ability to lift approximately 100 pounds, sit for extended periods, and follow instructions.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work independently or in teams.

Working Conditions:

Long-distance driving in various weather conditions, exposure to noise, dust, fumes, and hazardous materials. Overnight stays and variable hours may be required.
