You will work with a crew to maintain grade specifications and ensure safe operation. The role requires five years of industry experience, strong understanding of signals, and the ability to follow directions from site supervisors.

Qualifications

• Requires demonstrable experience as a Heavy Equipment Operator.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to understand work directions and communicate with supervisors and crew.
• Must understand the signals used to communicate with equipment operators.
• Five years or more relevant experience, especially in roads/highways/bridges.

Responsibilities

• Inspect equipment and machinery for safe operation and maintenance needs.
• Operate various heavy equipment (dozers, scrapers, loaders, excavators, tractors, front loaders, backhoes) to excavate, move and grade earth.
• Coordinate with crew to align and adjust equipment for grade specifications.
• Turn valves to control air and water output of compressors and pumps.
• Adjust controls to operate attachments and machinery (blades, buckets, scrapers, swing booms).
