Job summary

Blythe Construction seeks a Loader Operator to inspect and operate heavy equipment to excavate, move, and grade earth according to grade specifications. You will coordinate with crew members to align and adjust operations for safe, efficient progress on site.

Candidates should have at least five years of related experience, understand construction signals, and communicate effectively with supervisors. The role is outdoors in all weather with typical construction-site hazards and noise.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred; able to understand work directions and communicate with supervisors.
• Must understand signals used to signal operators of construction machinery.

Responsibilities

• Inspect equipment for safe day-to-day operation and maintenance needs.
• Operate heavy equipment such as dozers, scrapers, loaders, excavators, tractors, front loaders and back hoes to excavate, move and grade earth.
• Coordinate with crew to ensure alignment and grade specifications are met.
• Turn valves to control air and water output of compressors and pumps.
• Adjust controls to operate machinery and attachments such as blades and buckets.
