Job summary

The State of South Carolina Department of Transportation seeks a Bridge Crew Equipment Operator for the Holly Hill Bridge Maintenance Unit. You will perform skilled manual labor and operate light to heavy equipment to construct, repair, and preserve roads and bridges on the state highway system.

You must have at least one year of related work experience or an approved equivalent, and a valid driver's license with a Class A CDL to be obtained within six months of placement.

Qualifications

• Minimum one (1) year of related work experience or approved equivalence.

Responsibilities

• Performs Bridge Crew Equipment Operator duties for Holly Hill Bridge Maintenance Unit.
• Operates light to heavy equipment for construction, repair, and preservation of roads and bridges on the state highway system.
• This may include operating CDL and non-CDL vehicles, inspecting equipment, and coordinating traffic control as needed.
