Job summary

Responsibilities include traffic control coordination, safety-compliant operation of various tools, and readiness for extended hours or shifts during emergencies or adverse weather.

Qualifications

• One year of related work experience or an approved equivalent.
• Valid motor vehicle operator’s license is required.
• Must obtain Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) within six months of placement.

Responsibilities

• Operate light to heavy equipment (e.g., circular saws, drills, grinders) for road and bridge maintenance.
• Coordinate placement of traffic control devices to set up and maintain work zones per SCDOT guidelines.
• Assist in emergency and inclement weather operations and extended shifts as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
