Job summary

STV, Inc. is seeking Construction Inspectors for Greensboro, NC, to support its Transportation division. The role involves inspecting highway and bridge projects, monitoring contractor work, and preparing daily reports.

Travel to project sites and occasional nights/weekends are expected. Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of construction inspection experience and must obtain specified NCDOT certifications within 6 months.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of construction inspection experience.
• Must be able to obtain the listed NCDOT certifications within 6 months of starting.

Responsibilities

• Perform construction inspection activities and assist in highway and bridge construction projects.
• Monitor contractor compliance with plans and specifications.
• Prepare daily inspection reports and perform on-site material testing and sampling.
• Read and interpret construction plans and technical specifications.
• Communicate effectively with project staff and clients, verbally and in writing.
• Basic knowledge of computer and tablet (iPad) operation.
