Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Full-time Construction Inspector for our Asheville, NC office to support roadway and bridge projects. You will inspect plans, schedules and quantities, and assist senior inspectors with surveying, material testing and data processing.

You will ensure work safety and compliance with project specifications while maintaining accurate records and communicating findings to teammates and clients.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma.
• 3 years of road and bridge inspection and testing experience or an equivalent combination.
• EI may be eligible for this position without experience.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans.
• Keep accurate records and compute field data.
• Read and interpret codes, regulations and project specs.
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Ability to travel occasionally as required.

Responsibilities

• Examine and interpret construction plans, schedules and quantities.
• Support senior project inspectors in inspection, surveying and material testing.
• Verify work is safe and complies with plans and specs.
• Perform tests and process field data.
• Adhere to Code of Conduct and company policies.
• Take on additional responsibilities as needed.
