Job summary

WSP's Charlotte, NC office is seeking a Full-time Construction Inspector to support construction management teams on key projects. You will examine plans, assist with inspections and testing, ensure safety and compliance, and adapt to project needs.

The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma with 3 years of road/bridge inspection experience and the ability to obtain NCDOT certifications within 90 days. Strong record-keeping and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; 3 years road/bridge inspection experience.
• Ability to obtain NCDOT certifications within ~90 days.
• Strong record-keeping and plan reading skills.
• Able to work independently or in a team; strong safety focus.

Responsibilities

• Examine and interpret construction plans, schedules and quantities.
• Support senior project inspectors in construction inspection, surveying and material sampling and testing.
• Verify that work is performed safely and in accordance with the project plans and specifications.
• Perform a wide variety of standardized and non-standardized tests and analyze field data.
• Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct; adhere to policy.
• Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
