Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Construction Inspector for our Raleigh, NC office to support the Construction Management Team on diverse projects. You will inspect, measure and verify that work aligns with plans, specs and safety requirements, while aiding senior inspectors in testing and data collection.

Applicants should have a High School Diploma and 5 years of road/bridge inspection experience, with the ability to obtain NDOT certifications within 90 days. Strong communication is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• 5 years of road/bridge construction inspection experience or equivalent.
• Ability to obtain multiple NCDOT certifications within 90 days, schedule permitting.
• Read and interpret construction plans and maintain accurate records.
• Strong written and verbal communication for technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Examine and interpret construction plans, schedules and quantities.
• Support senior inspectors in inspection, surveying and material testing.
• Verify work safety and compliance with plans and specs.
• Perform field data tests, analysis and documentation.
• Adhere to Code of Conduct and company policies; travel as required.
• Handle additional duties as business needs evolve.
