Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a full-time Construction Inspector for our Asheville, NC office to support the Construction Management Team in delivering client projects and solving challenges.

Responsibilities include examining plans, assisting senior inspectors, ensuring safety, performing field tests and maintaining data records. Travel may be required; EI candidates may qualify for related certifications and advancement within a growing firm.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• 3 years of road and bridge inspection/testing experience or equivalent.
• Ability to obtain multiple NCDOT certifications within 90 days.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and compute field data.
• Strong communication, safety awareness, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Examine and interpret construction plans, schedules and quantities.
• Support senior project inspectors in inspection, surveying and testing.
• Verify that work is performed safely according to plans and specs.
• Perform tests and compile, analyze and process field data.
• Uphold company policies and code of conduct.
• Take on additional responsibilities as needed.
