Job summary

WSP USA in Asheville, NC is seeking a full-time Construction Inspector Trainee to join our Construction Management Team. You will examine plans, support senior inspectors, and perform field testing while ensuring safety and compliance with project specifications.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma and 0-2 years of road/bridge inspection experience; EI candidates may qualify. Willingness to obtain NCDOT certifications within 90 days is expected. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• 0-2 years of road and bridge construction inspection and testing experience or related education.
• Possibility to obtain multiple NCDOT certifications within 90 days depending on class schedule.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and keep accurate field records.

Responsibilities

• Examine and interpret construction plans, schedules and quantities.
• Support senior inspectors in construction inspection, surveying and testing.
• Verify safety and compliance with project plans and specs.
• Perform testing and data analysis for field data.
• Follow company policies and Code of Conduct.
• Take on additional duties as needed.
