Job summary

ENERGYneering Solutions Inc. (ESI) seeks a Plant Operator for Rougemont, North Carolina to operate a Landfill Gas to RNG facility and maximize production.

You will work with the Plant Manager on routine and non-routine maintenance, implementing safety-focused operations and learning to ground solutions with the team. The ideal candidate is hands-on, self-motivated, and ready to travel to other plants while adhering to DOT wellness and compliance standards.

Qualifications

• 1–5 years of plant operations experience.
• Trade school certification, high school diploma or GED.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to read and understand basic PFDs and Electrical Schematics.
• Ability to use basic troubleshooting tools (multimeters, gas testing equipment).
• Basic Windows computer skills.
• Experience in maintenance planning and preventative maintenance strategies.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Able to work independently, self-motivate, and communicate effectively.
• 12-hour shifts with rotation per Plant Manager.
• Capable of lifting up to 100 pounds with assistance.
• DOT drug testing may be required.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain the plant and equipment safely and neatly.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems.
• Maximize SCADA utilization for predictive and proactive operations and maintenance.
• Perform maintenance and repairs on major and ancillary equipment.
• Track events and daily readings in ODMS.
• Follow regulations, permits, and inspections; maintain compliance.
• Respond to plant callouts within 2 hours.
• Assist with training of coworkers or temporary Operators.
• Travel to other plants or corporate locations as needed.
• Follow SOPs and help develop them further.
• Maximize plant efficiencies and performance.
