Job summary

ENERGYneering Solutions Inc. (ESI) is seeking a Plant Operator for our Suffolk, Virginia RNG facility. You will operate and maintain the plant, work closely with the Plant Manager, and take ownership of plant performance while ensuring safety and compliance.

This hands-on role supports a three-person operations team with a strong safety culture and ongoing training. The position requires 12-hour rotating shifts, the ability to lift up to 100 pounds with assistance, and DOT testing compliance.

Qualifications

• 1–5 years of plant operations experience.
• Trade school cert, high school diploma or GED.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and background.
• Ability to read basic Process Flow Diagrams and Electrical Schematics.
• Ability to use basic troubleshooting tools (Multimeters, Thermographic, Gas Testing).
• Basic Windows-based computer skills and MS Office.
• Must work independently and communicate effectively with team.
• 12 hour shifts with rotating schedule.
• Must lift and maneuver up to 100 pounds with team assistance.
• DOT pre-employment, random, and post-accident testing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain the Plant and all equipment safely and orderly.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems; receive remote/onsite support as needed.
• Learn to maximize SCADA utilization for operations and maintenance.
• Perform maintenance and repairs on major and ancillary equipment.
• Record events and data using ODMS and daily walk-arounds.
• Ensure compliance with regulations, permits, and inspections.
• Respond to plant callouts within 2 hours, professionally.
• Assist with training coworkers or temporary Operators.
