Job summary

ENERGYneering Solutions Inc. ® (ESI) is seeking a Plant Operator for its Suffolk, Virginia RNG facility. You will operate and maintain the Landfill Gas to Renewable Natural Gas plant, work with the Plant Manager to optimize performance, and participate in maintenance and troubleshooting as part of a small team.

The role requires 1–5 years of plant ops experience, a trade school cert or GED, and the ability to read PFDs/schematics. DOT testing may apply; travel to other sites is possible.

Qualifications

• 1 - 5 years of plant operations or related experience.
• Trade school certification, high school diploma or GED.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and background.
• Ability to read PFDs and Electrical Schematics.
• Use of basic troubleshooting tools (multimeters, thermography, gas testing).
• Basic Windows computer skills and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively.
• 12 hour shifts with rotating schedule.
• DOT compliance and drug testing may be required.
• Valid driver’s license and insurance eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain the Plant and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems.
• Maximize SCADA utilization for operations and maintenance.
• Perform maintenance and repairs on major equip and site utilities.
• Record events and readings using ODMS.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and permits.
• Respond to plant callouts within ~2 hours.
• Train coworkers and assist other Operators as needed.
