Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking an experienced RN First Assistant to join its perioperative team. The role involves delivering safe, high-quality patient-family centered care in the OR and related perioperative areas for diverse patient populations.

You will act as an RN first assistant during operative procedures and throughout the perioperative continuum, and may also serve as an RN circulator as needed, in line with credentials and privileges.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a nursing program.
• Completion of an AORN-RN First Assistant program.
• 2 years perioperative RN or RNFA experience required.
• 3 years CVOR experience if working in the CVOR preferable.
• GA RN license or multistate license (NLC/eNCL) required; CNOR/CRNFA beneficial; BCLS/ACLS/PALS required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, effective, and family-centered care in the OR and perioperative areas.
• Function as RN first assistant during operative procedures and throughout the perioperative continuum.
• Occasionally serve as RN circulator in the OR according to scope of practice.
