Job summary

Huntsville Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Wound Care Center to provide direct patient care and manage intake and discharge processes. The role may include acting as a Case Manager for assigned patients and performing HBO related duties after training.

The position emphasizes collaboration with physicians and healthcare team members, documentation accuracy, patient advocacy, and ongoing education to support optimal wound care outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current Alabama or Multistate Nursing license required, BCLS required within 6 month provisional period.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care to Wound Care Center patients and manage intake and discharge per hospital/nursing standards.
• May serve as Case Manager for a group of patients, performing initial nursing assessments and communicating findings with physicians.
• Assess wound stage and measurements; document care plans; monitor status and intervene as needed.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives; educate patients or caregivers; advocate for patient care coordination.
