Job summary

Mercy is seeking an RN to support weekend inpatient coverage Fri–Sun 7a–7p with orientation provided. The role emphasizes cardiac care, telemetry, and coordinated treatment for complex clinical cases.

New grads may participate in a Nurse Residency; education assistance, relocation support, and weekend/shift differentials are offered to attract qualified nurses. Excellent team environment and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited registered nursing program and must obtain active RN license in hiring state/compact licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or complete course within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to push/pull/lift 50 pounds and stand/walk for long periods; physical endurance required.
• Nurse Residency available for new grads and select experienced nurses to support specialty onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Care for the medical cardiac patient population with telemetry and cardiac management.
• Coordinate care for patients needing cath lab, angio, dialysis, infusion/chemo and anticoagulation therapies.

Qualifications:

• Education: Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program. Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements. Certifications: Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire. Physical requirements/demands: Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties"Nurse Residency Available: Mercy Springfield offers a year-long Nurse Residency Program tailored to the specialty area in which each nurse is hired. All graduate nurses participate in the program, along with select experienced nurses based on their individual experience and professional development needs.

4C- serves the medical cardiac population by managing chronic and acute onset diseases while balancing the need for telemetry and cardiac management. The types of patients we serve are those with multisystem management needs such as heart failure, respiratory distress, unmanageable dysrhythmias, pneumonia, sepsis, COPD, diabetes and gastro-intestinal conditions. We also coordinate management of patients needing cath lab, angio, dialysis, outpatient infusion/chemo, and anti-coagulation therapies.
