Job summary

Mercy is seeking registered nurses to provide compassionate patient care in a cardiac-focused unit. The role requires working 3 out of 4 weekends, 7p-7a, and offers a year-long Nurse Residency program at Mercy Springfield.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited registered nursing program.
• Current RN license in hiring state or compact licensure.
• Basic Life Support certification (BLS) or completion within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for cardiac-related conditions.
• Work 3 out of 4 weekends, 7p-7a, with appropriate patient care handoffs.
• Participate in Mercy Springfield Nurse Residency program.

All graduate nurses participate in the program, along with select experienced nurses based on their individual experience and professional development needs.

serves the medical cardiac population by managing chronic and acute onset diseases while balancing the need for telemetry and cardiac management. The types of patients we serve are those with multisystem management needs such as heart failure, respiratory distress, unmanageable dysrhythmias, pneumonia, sepsis, COPD, diabetes and gastro-intestinal conditions. We also coordinate management of patients needing cath lab, angio, dialysis, outpatient infusion/chemo, and anti-coagulation therapies.
