Job summary
Park Avenue Nursing Home is seeking a Registered Nurse to supervise nursing staff and coordinate resident care on site. You will implement physician orders, supervise LPNs/LVNs/CNAs, and support a high standard of nursing care for residents.
The ideal candidate holds an RN license with at least 2 years of nursing experience and demonstrates strong leadership, communication, and teamwork skills in a family-oriented, supportive environment. New grads are welcome to apply.
Qualifications
- Must direct, motivate and train staff and work as a team member.
- Able to communicate effectively with residents, families and all levels, maintaining confidentiality.
- Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing with valid RN license.
- Minimum of 2 years nursing experience; or equivalent education/experience.

Responsibilities
- Utilize the nursing process to assess resident care plans, implement interventions, and evaluate outcomes in nursing care.
- Interview applicants, recommend hires; participate in counseling to extent permitted by law.
- Lead team conferences to develop individualized nursing care plans; assess resident condition and needs; assign qualified team members.
- Implement physicians' orders; administer medications, start IVs, perform treatments and tests, document as required by policy and regulations.
- Ensure supplies are used economically and equipment is maintained safely.
- Coordinate nursing care for residents scheduled for therapy or procedures by other departments.
- Report and record observations and reactions regarding residents.
- Assist or institute emergency measures for sudden adverse developments.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

Work with physicians, implementing orders for medications, treatments and special tests. Supervise LPNs, L VNs and CNAs, providing them support in order that they may provide total nursing care for residents.
