Qualifications

• Must hold a current RN license by the state with geriatric/long-term care experience.
• At least 2 years nursing experience and 1 year supervisory experience required.
• Clerical ability to read reports and use data accurately.
• Able to organize, plan programs and manage nursing staff.
• Ability to direct and coordinate with other departments.

Responsibilities

• Supervise subordinate nurses to maintain care standards and oversee QA, infection control, and utilization review.
• Receive physician orders and ensure accurate transmission to units as needed.
• Oversee delegation of nursing and therapeutic procedures to qualified staff.
• Make routine rounds to assess residents and document treatment and observations.
