Job summary

Eastern Healthcare Group is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Weekend Supervisor to oversee nursing staff during weekend shifts in a long-term care setting. You will lead, mentor, and coordinate care for residents, ensuring regulatory compliance, quality care, and effective teamwork across RNs, LPNs, and CNAs.

The role emphasizes clinical oversight, staff supervision, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, with additional responsibilities for documentation, audits, and care planning.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Virginia.
• Associate's or BSN preferred.
• 2–3 years nursing experience in long-term care or geriatric settings.
• Supervisory or charge nurse experience preferred.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Knowledge of nursing home regulations and care planning.

Responsibilities

• Monitor delivery of nursing care to meet quality and safety standards.
• Conduct rounds to assess conditions and address concerns.
• Coordinate and supervise resident care plans implementation.
• Respond to medical emergencies and coordinate care/documentation.
• Supervise RN/LPNs/CNAs during shifts and provide clinical guidance.
• Participate in staff evaluations and ongoing development.
• Ensure proper shift hand-offs and inter-team communication.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant documentation in EHRs and assist inspections.
