Job summary

CareOne at Newton is seeking a Unit Manager to oversee nursing operations in a skilled nursing and post-acute setting in Newton, MA. The role requires active RN licensure and at least two years of LTC experience, with supervisory responsibilities and strong regulatory knowledge.

The Unit Manager will ensure staffing adequacy, supervise licensed nurses and CNAs, and coordinate with the DON/ADON, physicians, and families to maintain high-quality resident care and documentation.

Qualifications

• Must be an actively licensed RN in the assigned state(s) of employment.
• Two years of long-term care (LTC) experience.
• Bachelor's degree preferred or RN program graduate; supervisory experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure staffing levels are met for each shift to render resident care.
• Attend and lead weekly resident meetings and PPS/QA meetings.
• Monitor nursing staff performance and ensure documentation compliance.
• Review medical records and care plans to ensure policies are followed.
• Communicate with DON/ADON and other departments to address concerns and disciplinary actions as needed.
