Job summary

Blue Heron Senior Living is seeking a Unit Manager (RN) for the day shift to oversee daily care, health needs, safety, and comfort of residents. You will assess, document, and help manage the unit and nursing staff to maintain high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with an active RN license
• Strong understanding of safe nursing practices within state requirements
• Ability to work harmoniously with professional and non-professional staff
• Ability to protect patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA
• Commitment to professional ethics

Responsibilities

• Supervise the unit and assign care tasks to ensure quality of care.
• Develop and implement resident care plans.
• Document progress and revise care plans as needed.
• Coordinate with DON/ADON to review nurse notes and ensure adherence to care plans.
• Monitor residents' health parameters and rounding with the physician.
• Maintain resident privacy and confidentiality.
• Complete documentation and education for admissions, transfers and discharges.
