Job summary

Aviva is seeking a Unit Manager - RN to supervise daily nursing operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and uphold high standards of care in a resident-centered environment.

You will lead the nursing team, coordinate staffing, reinforce care plans, and collaborate with the Director of Nursing and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes in a newer facility with paid training and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered RN license.
• 1-3 years of nursing supervisory or leadership experience.
• SNF or long-term care experience preferred.
• Wound Care Certification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, best practices, and nursing standards.
• Proven leadership, communication, and team management skills.
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate nursing staff during assigned shifts.
• Assign nurses and ensure appropriate staffing coverage.
• Ensure nursing care is delivered in accordance with care plans, physician orders, and regulatory standards.
• Monitor unit performance and report on productivity, quality, and service metrics.
• Train, coach, and evaluate nursing staff performance.
• Ensure compliance with facility policies, procedures, and clinical standards.
• Participate in admissions, transfers, and discharge processes.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Address concerns, complaints, and operational issues promptly and professionally.
• Maintain accurate documentation for staff records, resident care, and unit activities.
• Promote a compassionate, respectful, and supportive care environment.
