Job summary
Millington Healthcare Center is seeking an RN Unit Manager to oversee clinical operations and coordinate care across nursing units. The role supports the Director of Nursing with enforcing policies, standards, and patient outcomes in a skilled nursing facility.
The position predominantly operates Monday-Friday with rotating manager-on-duty and on-call responsibilities. Strong leadership, supervision of GNAs and LPNs, and collaboration with physicians are essential to ensure high-quality patient
Qualifications
- Current RN license in the state of Tennessee.
- BLS/CPR certification.
- In-depth knowledge of nursing care methods and health and safety guidelines.
- Responsible and compassionate with outstanding organizational and communication skills.
- Experience supervising GNAs and LPNs in a nursing home setting.
Responsibilities
- Observe and monitor residents’ health and assess needs to provide quality care.
- Collaborate with physicians to create care plans and assist during procedures.
- Maintain complete healthcare records and reports.
- Supervise and train GNAs and LPNs on staff.
- Administer medications and provide emergency care when needed.
- Coordinate staffing coverage with the DON.
- Assess staff performance to ensure timely services.
- Maintain a safe, respectful, team-oriented environment.
- Monitor care to reduce hospitalizations and improve outcomes.
- Review admissions for nursing feasibility and readiness.
