The Laurels of Carson City seeks an RN Unit Manager to lead and teach nursing staff, plan and coordinate nursing care for residents, and ensure high-quality guest care in a skilled nursing setting.

The role emphasizes leadership, staff development, and collaboration with an experienced team in a facility known for its caring approach.

Formación

• Current state RN licensure
• CPR certification and additional nursing specialty certification desired
• Management or supervisor experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing preferred

Responsabilidades

• Supervises nursing care provided by RN, LPN, CNAs and others.
• Reviews and implements nursing procedures and systems.
• Assesses and evaluates systems that facilitate quality guest care and staff performance.
• Uses a systematic nursing process to provide individualized care.
• Contributes to guest assessments (MDS/CAA) and develops care plans.
• Evaluates guests’ responses to nursing interventions.
• Understands the rationale for medications and treatments and administers as needed.

Responsibilities

• Supervises nursing care provided by Registered Nurses (RN), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) and others.
• Reviews and implements all nursing procedures and systems.
• Assesses and evaluates the systems which facilitate the delivery of quality guest care and performance of staff.
• Uses a systematic approach in the nursing process to provide individualized nursing care.
• Contributes to the guest assessments (MDS/CAA’s) and the development and implementation of a plan of care.
• Evaluates guests’ responses to nursing interventions.
• Understands the rational for the use of medications and treatments and correctly administers as needed.

Qualifications

• Current state Registered Nurse (RN) licensure required.
• Current CPR certification and additional certification in a nursing specialty desired.
• Management or supervisor experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing preferred.
