Job summary

Genesis is seeking a Unit Manager/Director - RN to support the Director of Nursing in delivering high-quality care on an assigned unit, while achieving positive clinical outcomes and resident satisfaction.

You will lead nursing staff, ensure compliance with mission and regulations, collaborate with physicians and therapy teams, manage staffing and performance, and help ensure safety and service excellence.

Qualifications

• Must be graduate of an accredited school of nursing, college or university.
• Current Registered Nurse licensure by the State Board of Nursing is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead, guide and direct the overall operations, coordination and direction of nursing and patient/resident care for an assigned nursing unit.
• Ensure that patient/resident care delivery is consistent with the mission, vision, values and company policies in accordance with accepted standards of practice, state and federal regulations and licensing requirements.
• Collaborate with staff, physicians, rehabilitation therapy and other professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients on assigned nursing unit.
• Manage the human resources in assigned unit to include limiting use of overtime and agency personnel, recruiting and orientating staff, assessing the work performance of nursing staff, and implementing disciplinary action when necessary.

Education

Graduate of an accredited nursing program

RN licensure by State Board of Nursing
