MediLodge of Kalamazoo, located at 1701 S 11th St, Kalamazoo, MI, seeks an experienced Unit Manager/Nurse Supervisor (RN) to lead the nursing unit in a long-term care facility. The role directs operations, staffing, and quality of care while coordinating resident-centered programs and staff development.

The position requires a nursing degree, active RN license (state requirements), CPR certification if applicable, and at least three years of nursing experience, including one year in long-term

Qualifications

• RN licensed in the state served.
• Graduate of accredited nursing program.
• CPR teaching certificate, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Perform general management functions such as hiring, disciplining and evaluating employees.
• Plan and facilitate meetings and committees on resident care issues for the unit.
• Manage area to achieve high quality care and budget targets.
• Develop, implement and evaluate programs for staff recruitment, retention and education.
• Coordinate with physicians to ensure timely interventions.
