MediLodge of Holland in Holland, MI is seeking a Unit Manager/Nurse Supervisor - Registered Nurse to direct the nursing unit within our long-term care facility.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of accredited school of nursing, degree preferred.
• Licenses/Certification: Licensed RN and CPR teaching certificate, if applicable.
• Experience: Three years of nursing experience, with at least one year in long-term care.

Responsibilities

• Performs general management functions such as hiring, disciplining and evaluating employees.
• Plans and facilitates meetings and committees to address resident care issues for the unit.
• Manages area of responsibility to achieve high quality care and budget goals.
• Participates in developing, implementing and evaluating programs for recruitment, retention and education of nursing staff.
• Contacts physicians as necessary and ensures timely and appropriate interventions.
• Reviews staffing patterns and census and reassigns personnel to meet resident needs and budgetary controls.
• Monitors clinical operations and ensures quality care is delivered.
• Obtains medications, supplies and medical records needed for safe, efficient care.
• Assists in orientation of new personnel and supports staff with procedures.
• Participates in facility QA programs.
