Job summary

Genesis Healthcare in Albuquerque is seeking a Unit Manager - RN to lead a nursing unit, ensuring high-quality and cost-effective health care while achieving positive clinical outcomes and patient/family satisfaction.

You will collaborate with the Director of Nursing to ensure adequate nursing coverage, mentor staff, and oversee medication management to maintain safe, compliant care delivery.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current licensure by the State Board of Nursing.
• BLS/CPR certification required.
• At least one year of nurse leadership experience.
• Depending on credential, 3 years nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead nursing unit to deliver high-quality, cost-effective care.
• Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to manage staffing.
• Develop and evaluate plans to reduce rehospitalizations.
• Mentor nurses and coordinate with physicians and staff.
• Oversee medication management and safe handling of meds.
• Provide direct patient care alongside unit nurses.
