Job summary
Scott Lake Health and Rehabilitation in Lakeland, FL is seeking an RN Unit Manager to lead nursing services for assigned shifts, ensuring safe, therapeutic care and seamless coordination with other shifts. The role requires nursing leadership and LTC experience.
The RN will work under facility policies, collaborate with ADON and Director of Nursing, and supervise staff with focus on quality patient outcomes.
Qualifications
- RN license required or preferred.
- Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred.
- Ability to supervise nursing staff and coordinate services.
Responsibilities
- Oversee nursing services and coordinate shift activities.
- Ensure adherence to facility policies and state laws.
- Inform ADON of nursing activities, needs, problems, and events.
- Make recommendations on hiring, promotion, suspension and termination of nursing staff.
- Assist with in-service education and evaluate effectiveness of methods.
- Investigate and report complaints.
- Charge the Floor in the absence of the charge nurse with daily duties.
