Job summary

Genesis HealthCare is seeking a Unit Manager/Director - RN to support the Director of Nursing in delivering high-quality care and achieving positive clinical outcomes on an assigned unit. You will lead nursing operations, ensure compliant care delivery, and collaborate with physicians and rehab teams to optimize patient outcomes.

The role requires RN licensure and graduation from an accredited nursing program.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Current RN licensure by the State Board of Nursing is required.

Responsibilities

Lead, guide and direct the overall operations, coordination and direction of nursing and patient/resident care for an assigned nursing unit.
Ensure that patient/resident care delivery is consistent with the mission, vision, values and company policies in accordance with accepted standards of practice, state and federal regulations and licensing requirements.
Collaborate with staff, physicians, rehabilitation therapy and other professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients on assigned nursing unit.
Manage the human resources in assigned unit to include limiting use of overtime and agency personnel, recruiting and orientating staff, assessing the work performance of nursing staff, and implementing disciplinary action when necessary.
