Job summary

The Grand Healthcare System is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse Unit Manager to lead our nursing team on the day shift. This is a full-time position focusing on clinical leadership, staff support, and maintaining high standards of resident care across the unit.

You will supervise nursing staff, promote safety and quality outcomes, review resident plans, and collaborate with leadership to optimize daily operations in a full-time day-shift setting.

Qualifications

• Current, valid RN license required.
• 2+ years of long-term care experience preferred.
• 1+ year of Unit Manager experience preferred.
• Basic computer proficiency for clinical documentation and communication.
• Strong communication, leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively with residents, families, nurses and the interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise and support nursing staff while overseeing daily unit activities.
• Ensure facility and employee policies and procedures are followed consistently.
• Provide clinical direction, coaching and mentorship to nurses and other team members.
• Maintain nursing standards focused on resident safety and quality outcomes.
• Review resident documentation and medical records for appropriate care.
• Complete case reviews and monitor compliance with care plans.
• Respond to resident and family questions with professionalism.
• Monitor inventory and ensure adequate supplies.
• Partner with upper management to communicate unit needs and improve operations.
• Foster a positive, collaborative environment for residents and staff.
