Job summary

Aviata Health Group in Tallahassee, FL seeks a compassionate RN Unit Manager to lead nursing staff on the assigned unit. You will supervise Clinical Nurses and Nursing Assistants, ensure quality resident care, and coordinate staffing to maintain optimal coverage.

Responsibilities include data collection at admission and throughout treatment, developing individualized plans, ensuring documentation compliance, and guiding families through care decisions with a patient-centered approach.

Qualifications

• Current state RN or LPN license required.
• Minimum 3 years of nursing experience, preferably with the same resident population.
• Minimum 1 year in nursing administration or leadership role.

Responsibilities

• Manage staffing needs and supervise nursing staff delivering direct resident care.
• Assist in staff development and supervise Clinical Nurses and Nurse Assistants.
• Provide direct resident care per established plans.
• Conduct and document complete data collection on admission and ongoing.
• Assist in development and implementation of individualized treatment plans.
• Monitor compliance with resident record documentation and coordinate schedules.
• Ensure compliance with resident rights and resolve grievances with families and staff.

Major Responsibilities

• Manage the staffing needs and provide supervision for nursing staff providing direct resident care to ensure quality resident care on the assigned unit
• Assist in staff development and supervise Clinical Nurses and Nurse Assistants
• Provide direct resident care in accordance with established plans
• Conduct and document a complete data collection of each resident’s medical status upon admission and throughout the resident’s course of treatment
• Assist in the development and implementation of an individualized treatment plan for each assigned resident
• Monitor compliance with resident record documentation requirements, as directed
• Coordinate staffing schedules to ensure adequate coverage
• Ensure compliance with resident rights policies and work with families and other staff, as needed, to resolve grievances

Qualifications

• Must possess a current, unencumbered, active state license to practice as an RN or LPN
• Must have a minimum (3) years nursing experience preferred in a setting serving the same age/type of resident population served by this facility. Minimum one (1) year experience in nursing administration
