Job summary

Excelcare at Lewes is seeking an experienced RN Unit Manager to lead the daily clinical operations of a nursing unit in our skilled nursing facility. You will supervise LPNs and CNAs, ensure high-quality care per care plans, and coordinate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team.

You will monitor resident conditions, ensure regulatory compliance, and contribute to admissions, discharges, and transfers while maintaining a positive, collaborative work environment.

Qualifications

• Active RN license
• Experience in skilled nursing facility or long-term care setting preferred
• Leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred
• Strong clinical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams

Responsibilities

Excelcare at Lewes, a leading provider of rehabilitation and healing services, is seeking a dedicated and experienced RN Unit Manager to join our leadership team in our skilled nursing facility. As a key member of our team, you will oversee the daily clinical operations of a nursing unit, ensuring high-quality resident care, regulatory compliance, and strong support for nursing staff.

RN Unit Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Overseeing the daily clinical operations of the assigned nursing unit

• Supervising, supporting, and mentoring LPNs and CNAs on the unit

• Ensuring residents receive high-quality nursing care in accordance with care plans and physician orders

• Monitoring resident conditions and communicating changes with physicians and interdisciplinary team members

• Completing and reviewing documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with state and federal regulations

• Participating in care plan meetings and collaborating with other departments to support resident needs

• Assisting with admissions, discharges, and transfers

• Addressing staff concerns and helping maintain a positive, team-oriented work environment

Qualifications:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license

• Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility or long-term care setting preferred

• Leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred

• Strong clinical, organizational, and communication skills
