Job summary

Orwigsburg Nursing and Rehab Center is seeking an experienced RN Unit Manager to join our nursing leadership team. This role is perfect for a Registered Nurse passionate about high-quality care and teamwork in a rehabilitation setting.

The ideal candidate will have an active Pennsylvania RN license, supervisory experience, and skills in leadership and communication. We offer competitive compensation along with health and dental insurance, PTO, and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Pennsylvania is required.
• At least 1 year of nursing experience in a supervisory role.
• Approximately 2 years in long-term care or physical rehabilitation.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Compassionate and respectful towards residents and team members.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily oversight of resident care per facility policies.
• Supervise and support nursing staff to ensure quality outcomes.
• Partner with the Director of Nursing for care delivery.
• Promote resident independence by establishing individualized goals.
• Educate residents on conditions, medications, and self-care.

Orwigsburg Nursing and Rehab Center is currently seeking an experienced and motivated RN Unit Manager to join our dedicated nursing leadership team. This is a great opportunity for a Registered Nurse who is passionate about high-quality care, team collaboration, and clinical excellence in a long-term care or rehabilitation setting.

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will:

• Hold an active RN license in the state of Pennsylvania

• Have at least one year of nursing experience in a supervisory role

• Bring approximately two years of experience in long-term care or physical rehabilitation

• Demonstrate strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

• Foster a compassionate and respectful environment for residents and team members

• Thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented setting

Key Responsibilities

• Provide daily oversight of resident care in compliance with facility policies and state regulations

• Supervise and support nursing staff to ensure high-quality clinical outcomes

• Partner with the Director of Nursing to maintain excellence in care delivery

• Promote resident independence by establishing and monitoring individualized goals

• Educate residents and their support systems on conditions, medications, and self-care

• Address resident needs and concerns using interdisciplinary team approaches

• Ensure compliance with infection control standards, medication administration policies, and controlled substance regulations

• Accurately document resident care and nursing services

• Maintain continuity of care through clear communication and documentation

• Monitor nursing supplies and equipment to ensure unit readiness

• Participate in ongoing professional development and clinical education

• Share in on-call responsibilities as part of a rotating schedule
