Brookside Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Abington, PA is seeking an experienced RN Unit Manager to lead a nursing unit under DON and ADON supervision. The role focuses on directing day-to-day resident care and ensuring adherence to care plans and regulatory requirements.

Requires an active RN license, at least 2 years of Unit Manager experience in long‑term care, PCC familiarity, and excellent communication. Full-time, Monday–Friday, with on-call rotation and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid RN license.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Unit Manager in long-term care.
• Familiarity with Federal, State, and local long-term care requirements.
• Experience in long-term care settings.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate resident care.
• Assess signs and symptoms indicating changes in the patient’s condition.
• Document the patient’s plan of care with nursing diagnoses, outcomes and interventions.
• Perform interventions according to priorities, plan of care, and policies.
• Revise the plan of care based on evaluation and changes in medical plan of care.
• Use clinical judgment in evaluation activities to meet unit needs and priorities.
• Participate in on-call rotation.

RN Unit Manager

Job Summary:

Brookside Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, a premier long-term care facility in Abington, Pennsylvania, is seeking a dedicated and experienced RN Unit Manager to join our team. As a Unit Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the delivery of exceptional care to our residents. Under the direction of the Director of Nursing and Assistant Director of Nursing, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our unit and providing compassionate care to our residents.

Shift Type: Full-time (Monday thru Friday)

Job Responsibilities:

• Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate resident care

• Assess signs and symptoms indicating changes in the patient's condition

• Document the patient's plan of care using identified nursing diagnoses, expected patient outcomes, and selected nursing interventions

• Perform interventions according to identified priorities, plan of care, and hospital policies and patient care outcome standards

• Revises the plan of care according to evaluation, changes in medical plan of care, and effective/ineffective nursing interventions

• Uses clinical judgment in evaluation activities to meet patient care needs of an assigned unit/floor, including establishing priorities

• On-call rotation

Qualifications:

• Must be a licensed RN with a valid license

• Must have at least 2 years of experience as a Unit Manager in Long-term care

• Familiarity with Federal, State, and local long-term care requirements

• Long-term care experience
